Gwobr Tonnau
Dathliad o’r tonnau, tir, a diwylliant, wedi’i gynllunio i ysbrydoli cysylltiad â’r byd naturiol trwy chwaraeon dŵr, treftadaeth, a gofal amgylcheddol.

Lefelau’r Wobr
Bydd gan y cynllun dri lefel: Mini Mal, Hirfwrdd a Sgodyn. Rhaid i gyfranogwyr gwblhau’r holl feini prawf ar un lefel cyn symud ymlaen i’r nesaf.

 

Elfennau Craidd Ar Bob Lefel
Chwaraeon Dŵr
Cymerwch ran mewn o leiaf un gamp dŵr (syrffio) a dangoswch welliant yn eich sgiliau:

  • Dysgwch dechnegau a diogelwch dŵr penodol i’r gamp.

  • Cymerwch ran mewn sesiynau grŵp i ddatblygu gwaith tîm a hyder yn y dŵr.

Diogelwch ac Achub bywyd

  • Dysgwch dechnegau achub (e.e.  cynorthwyo nofwyr, achub ar fwrdd).

  • Deall ceryntau rip a llanwau.

Hanes Lleol a Threftadaeth Gymraeg

  • Astudiwch hanes lleol a dysgwch enwau Cymraeg nodweddion arfordirol, bywyd gwyllt, coed, a phlanhigion

Hyfforddiant Cymorth Cyntaf

  • Cwblhau hyfforddiant wedi’i deilwra i’r lefel 

  • Pwyslais ar anafiadau sy’n gysylltiedig â'r dŵr 

Gwaith Cadwraeth

  • Cyfrannu at ymdrechion cadwraeth arfordirol, megis glanhau traethau a phlannu coed mewn ardaloedd arfordirol.

  • Arsylwi a dogfennu newidiadau mewn bioamrywiaeth dros amser.

Gofynion Lefelau

  • Foamie’ Tystysgrif Rhagarweiniol
    Ymroddiad amser: 1 sesiwn (2.5 awr)
    Ffocws ar sgiliau cychwynnol mewn camp dŵr, cyflwyniad i ddiogelwch dŵr, cymorth cyntaf sylfaenol, cyflwyniad byr i hanes a bywyd gwyllt lleol.
    Cwblhau prosiect cadwraeth bach (e.e. glanhau traeth).

  • ‘Mini Mal’ 
    Ymroddiad amser: 2 sesiwn tua 5 awr
    Ffocws ar sgiliau sylfaenol mewn un gamp dŵr a ddewiswyd, cyflwyniad i ddiogelwch dŵr, cymorth cyntaf sylfaenol, ac archwilio cychwynnol hanes a bywyd gwyllt lleol.
    Cwblhau prosiect cadwraeth bach (e.e., tynnu planhigion goresgynnol o ardal traeth).

  • Hirfwrdd
    Ymroddiad amser: 5 sesiwn tua 12.5 awr
    Dangos cynnydd mewn camp dŵr a ddewiswyd a dealltwriaeth ddyfnach o dechnegau achub dŵr.
    Dysgu pynciau treftadaeth Cymraeg mwy manwl, megis chwedlau sy’n gysylltiedig â’r arfordir.
    Cyfrannu at brosiect cadwraeth o faint canolig, megis plannu coed a chreu dyddiaduron bioamrywiaeth.

  • Sgodyn
    Ymroddiad amser: 10 sesiwn 25 awr
    Parhau i ddangos cynnydd a chynnal gweithdy diogelwch/achub dŵr.
    Cyflwyno prosiect sy’n cyfuno treftadaeth Gymraeg, astudiaeth bioamrywiaeth, a myfyrdodau personol.
    Cyfrannu at weithgareddau amgylcheddol cadwraeth mwy dwys ac archwilio bwydydd gwyllt

Dathlu a Chydnabyddiaeth
Bydd cyfranogwyr sy’n cwblhau pob lefel yn derbyn tystysgrifau.

​​The Tonnau Award

A celebration of the waves, land, and culture, designed to inspire a connection to the natural world through water sports, heritage, and environmental care.

Award Levels

The scheme will have three progressive levels: Mini Mal, Longboard and Fish. Participants must complete all criteria at one level before progressing to the next.

Core Elements Across All Levels

Water Sports  Engage in a minimum of one water sport (surfing) and demonstrate skill improvement:

  • Learn techniques and water safety specific to the sport.

  • Participate in group sessions to build teamwork and confidence in the water.

Water Safety and Rescue

  • Learn water rescue techniques (e.g. swimmer assists, board rescue).

  • Understand rip currents and tides.

Local History & Welsh Heritage

  • Study local history and learn the Welsh names of notable coastal features, wildlife, trees, and plants.

First Aid Training

  • Complete training tailored to level 

  • Emphasis on water-related injuries.

Conservation Work

  • Contribute to coastal conservation efforts, such as beach clean-ups and tree-planting projects in coastal fields.

  • Observe and document changes in biodiversity over time.

Level Requirements

  • Foamie’ Introductory Certificate

Time Commitment: 1 session. (2.5 hours)

Focus on introductory skills in water sport, introduction to water safety, basic first aid, introduce brief exploration of local Welsh history and wildlife.

Complete a small-scale conservation project (e.g. beach clean).

  • Mini Mal

Time Commitment: 2 sessions approx 5hrs.

Focus on basic skills in one chosen water sport, introduction to water safety, basic first aid, and initial exploration of local Welsh history and wildlife.

Complete a small-scale conservation project (e.g., removing invasive plants from a beach area).

Longboard

Time Commitment: 5 session approx 12.5 hrs.

Demonstrate progress in chosen water sport(s) and deeper understanding of water rescue techniques.

Learn more indepth Welsh heritage topics, such as myths tied to the coast.

Take part in a mid-scale conservation project, such as planting trees and creating biodiversity journals.

  • Fish 

Time Commitment: 10 sessions 25 hours.

Continue to show progression in and lead a water safety/rescue workshop.

Present a project combining Welsh heritage, biodiversity study, and personal reflections.

Participate in a large-scale more in depth environmental,  conservation activities and foraging.

Celebration and Recognition

Participants who complete each level will receive certificates.
